COVID-19
What to expect at Partners in Style
TEMPORARY POLICY DUE TO COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic created an unprecedented situation unlike any other and it affects us all. Our hearts go out to anyone who’s been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. The health, safety, and well being of our staff, guests, and community are what is most important to us. That means for now you'll see some new protective measures when you come see us. In order to keep everyone's safety at the forfront of all services, we must abide by new guidelines at Partners in Style. These guidelines are based on Michigan Executive Order 2020-114 (COVID-19) (June 5, 2020), so there are no exceptions.
Appointments
1. Please call or text for an appointment. Walk-ins are temporarily not accepted.
2. You will be asked to sign a one-time waiver form before entering the salon. We can email you the waiver to review and sign prior to your appointment upon request.
3. All of our nail (hand and feet) services MUST be booked in advance as our manicurist will be on call.
Arrivals
4. Please come to your appointment alone. No additional guests or children during your visit (special accommodations can be made when space allow for a caretaker or a parent to accompany a child/senior).
5. No food or beverages in the salon. Refreshments will not be provided at this time. Please make sure you eat prior to your appointment and leave snacks and beverages in your car. We will also not be offering reading materials to help prevent the spread of unwanted germs.
6. Everyone that enters the salon MUST WEAR MASKS at all times. If a mask cannot be worn due to a medical condition, we can make arrangements for you to come in when no other guests are in the salon or you will have to wait. The stylist will be wearing face masks at all times and face shields as much as they can. We will do our best not to get color on your mask, however, we can not guarantee it. Please use a disposable mask or a mask you do not mind getting color on. If you don’t have a mask, you can purchase one from us.
New Normal
7. We have eliminated our waiting area. Please text your hair stylist/nail technician when you arrive. Please stay in your car or wait outside. When your service provider is ready, you will get a call or text with instructions.
8. Please, no purse or bags. We ask that you bring only what you need that can fit in your pockets or lap. (ie. Forms of payment, keys, and cell phone). Exceptions are made for medical devices.
9. Upon arrival, all staff must pass their health screening and have their temperature checked before they can start their shift. All guests will be asked health questions and get their temperature taken from an infrared touchless thermometer. Clients with a temperature higher than 99.9F or showing signs of illness will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
10. You will be asked to wash or sanitize your hands before the start of every service. If you need to wash or sanitize your hands at any time, we got you covered!
Service Updates
11. After months of taking the appropriate precautions, we have once again returned to a full service salon!
Please see the services page for more details.
Other safety measures
12. All staff must be Barbicide COVID-19 Certified.
13. We have increased our sanitation practices before opening, between services, at close of each day as industry guidelines dictate. We will continue to sanitize styling chairs, restrooms, shampoo areas, handles, all high touch areas, credit card machines, and styling tools between each guest. All capes and smocks are changed for each client.
14. Social distancing together! We'll greet you verbally (no hugs or handshakes)! We miss you and will give you air hugs. Our stations are at least 6 ft apart and we have placed barriers in between all wash bowls in the washing station area. Lastly, we have placed markers to help everyone social distance together unless while being services.
Payments
17. Temporarily no cash payments at this time. Please ask your hairstylist which touch-free payments (such as Venmo or Paypal) they prefer. Checks and credit cards are still accepted.
18. If you need retail products, please ask your stylist ahead of time to have it ready for your appointment, however we can still accommodate you with any requests during your appointment.
